Into the Beyond Fall Show

TINT's fall show explores the theme of "Into the Beyond" from the perspective of three women artists from three different countries.
Chinese-born, Bay Area resident, Ning Ma, captures what it's like to go beyond the bounds of humanity's presence in her landscape photography. From the highest peaks to the lowest valleys, Ma's journey has taken her around the globe to places where few humans have gone.

Peruvian-born, now SF-based, Jessie Laura explores what happens when we move beyond contemporary culture’s onslaught of visual imagery. Stripped from color and representational imagery, Laura’s work allows volume, texture, and light to become the focus.

Russian born, Finland-based Dasha Pears brings life to the subconscious. Her unique form of storytelling combines design, staging, and photography to create images that are whimsical yet simultaneously meticulous.

TINT Gallery | TINT Gallery Artists

TINT is a space where art inspires connection.

We believe that art needs to be seen in person. Art is more than just an image on a screen — it’s an experience. In everything TINT does, it seeks to enhance that experience.

TINT showcases contemporary artists who innovate across media, spotlighting women artists in particular. We look for the unusual, the surprising, the unordinary. Our artists find unexpected ways to use common media, creating a craft of their own along the way.

We’re a new kind of gallery: there’s no intimidation, prices are always listed, and the process of acquiring art is made transparent and accessible. We’ve even created a seating area so you can linger and take in the art. Our goal is to connect to the local community, to provide a space for meaningful conversations, and to bring a feeling of warmth and welcome to an art gallery.

We love supporting art in all its forms and are excited to share the best of our local finds with you.

For our Summer 2022 exhibition the Atlanta Photography Group is partnering with The Nature Conservancy (nature.org) to produce a member-based exhibition opportunity that will encourage people locally, regionally and nationally to do everything in their power to create a world where people and nature can thrive.

This exhibition features photo-based work around nature, landscape, environmentalism, nature conservation, flora, fauna, nature-based documentary / Fine Art, and work about animals/insects/reptiles/fish and their habitat.

Our esteemed juror for this exhibition is Melissa (Ryan) Dale, Director of Photography for The Nature Conservancy.  Ms. Dale will be presenting at the APG gallery via live stream during the opening reception, and local representatives from the Georgia Nature Conservancy branch will be at the gallery to talk about their mission.

ArtSpan Art-In-Neighborhoods - Cumaica Coffee - Ning Ma Photography

Details

ArtSpan’s Art-In-Neighborhoods Program serves the city of San Francisco by connecting communities with local artists while activating spaces with locally made art. ArtSpan partners with local businesses and building owners to bring art studios, art exhibitions, and art events to businesses, dormant storefronts, and empty spaces. Local artists, who are ArtSpan members, are given the opportunity to create, display, promote, and sell their artwork in these diverse venues. All aspects of the program allow otherwise unused walls, spaces, or properties to become creative arenas for celebrating local arts. ArtSpan offers this and other professional programming to 1,200+/- annual Artist Members who live and work in San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Cumaica Coffee is a Nicaraguan coffee roastery and cafe with four locations in San Francisco. Since 1993 they've dedicated themselves to roasting and delivering the freshest, most flavorful cup of coffee available in the bay area. They remain connected to their Nicaraguan roots by working with small plantations much like the one started by their family in the Matagalpa mountains during the 1960s. At this cozy location in the Excelsior, they provide great coffee as well as nourishing snacks and meals that create a comfortable gathering place for their local community.
